EM Bar

EM Bar serves a range of cocktails alongside an ample wine list.

Craft liquor such as Hope on Hopkins gin and Bain’s Cape Mountain whisky are enhanced by syrups and cordials made on site. A custom bar in blue and white porcelain by artist Michael Chandler pays homage to the bar’s last resident, the mysterious ‘Tannie Em’ who is said to have enjoyed a drink before bed. “The style of the hotel is Victorian, so I wanted to play off the tradition of English 19th century blue and white porcelain. In my interpretation I have the town ofRobertson surrounded by proteas, prickly pears, aloes, ericas and succulents,
all of which are evocative of the area. ”
