The environment around us
We are accredited Leaders in Sustainable Tourism and work closely with Green Tourism Active (GTA) to continue to improve what we do.
We are committed to a sustainable future and to improving the social, economic, and environmental well-being of our community, and the planet. We are committed to working locally to celebrate the beauty of where we live, and harness this by supporting local produce, local businesses, and communities.
We are serious about a clean planet and reducing toxic waste; our housekeeping products are all biodegradable and contained in re-cycled bottles; all our guest amenities are locally produced, organically farmed, biodegradable and recyclable.
We actively re-cycle and re-use, and we rarely waste.
Water is precious and we respect that every drop counts. We have a water harvesting plant which collects, filters, and cleans water for re-use in some of our hotel operations.

We show our guests our appreciation for them by providing them with memorable experiences, and value for money. We deliver service which is professional, yet warm; informative yet not overbearing; efficient yet relaxed.
Our team is key to all that we do. We prioritise them; we are honest, we listen, and we value their input. We operate an employment environment of respect for all and encourage and support the growth and development of our employees.

Ease the Journey: Our Outreach programme
In the belief that education is an important link to future success within our communities we have created an education support programme called ‘Ease the Journey’. This currently supports four education initiatives; Pre-School Teaching Assistance; a School Shoe Project: a Back to School Supplies & Surprise Project, and Professional Development for our team. Every guest who stays with us is gifted a bracelet to wear and to be reminded that we have made a contribution on their behalf to Ease the Journey, our very own fund from which we support local education initiatives.
