The Western Cape offers a wide range of exceptional and unusual Brandies. We have selected a few of our favourites for your enjoyment.
VAN RYNS FINE CASK RESERVE 15 YEAR BRANDY (R 60 per single)
A rich burnt gold coloured brandy crafted by a distillery with a longstanding, rich heritage in the heart of the Stellenbosch Valley. This is a full-bodied brandy with a nose of citrus and honey, a palate of cigar box spices with a hint of chocolate, and a creamy rounded finish
LADISMITH 8 YEAR CAPE BRANDY (R 60 per single)
From the Karoo Desert, this limited edition, double-distilled brandy is both popular and hard to come by. The taste boasts flavours of litchi, banana, subtle dried fruit, with a surprising hint of red berry.
KAAPZICHT 15 YEAR CAPE BRANDY (R 110 per single)
Only the very finest classic white grapes grown and harvested on Kaapzicht Wine Estate are chosen to produce this remarkable brandy. On the pour, it has a deep golden-amber colour which followed by a nose of dried fig, prunes, toasted oak, cinnamon and cloves. A mellow taste with a lingering oaky, sherry finish. The perfect cigar companion.
BOSCHENDAL POTSTILL BRANDY 10 YEAR (R 60 per single)
This full-bodied, and slightly fruity Brandy comes from one the most reputable farms in Stellenbosch. It is double distilled in pot stills and aged in small oak barrels for a minimum period of 10 years.
JOSEPH BARRY XO CAPE BRANDY (R 65 per single)
This XO is aged for at least a decade in underground cellars in Barrydale, where time allows the spirit to develop flavours of dried peach, apricot, raisin and port. Soft and lingering, it is the ultimate expression of the Klein Karoo, and the best of
